From Goodreads:
For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human ... until the cold makes him shift back again. Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

After hearing so much about this book and with the recent release of Linger, I figured it was time to read it. I wondered how I would feel about another book involving werewolves, but I went in with an open mind. All I can say is...I wish I would have read it sooner!

This was definitely one of the most well-written books I have ever read. The author does an incredible job of evoking the emotions that Sam and Grace are feeling. I got so wrapped up in the book towards the end that I actually missed my bus stop and had to walk back to my apartment!

I really like how the narration switches back and forth between Sam and Grace as well. I often find while reading a book that I wish I knew how another character was feeling – with Shiver, I didn’t have to wonder at all.

This book also has one of my favorite covers. It’s simple, but beautiful and is a great interpretation of the book. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a beautifully written story that will pull at your heartstrings and leave you wanting more.
