This meme is hosted by MizB at Should be Reading.
The rules are simple:
-Grab your current read.
-Let the book fall open to a random page.
-Share 2 “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
-Give the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from – that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
-And remember – please avoid spoilers!

Book: Uglies by Scott Westerfield
“Dr. Cable pointed to the wallscreen, and an image appeared. Like a mirror, but in close-up, it showed Tally as she looked right now: puffy-eyed and disheveled, exhaustion and red scratches marking her face, her hair sticking out in all directions, and her expression turning horrified as she beheld her own appearance.”
I am about 1/4 of the way into this book and it is amazing!

Great teaser. I read the first two books in this series. I’m still not sure how much I liked it, I found it hard to relate to how shallow Tally was, even when she was the best their society had to offer.
This week my teaser is from “The Invisible Order: Rise of the Darklings” and can be found here.
Also while you are there, please check out my Halloween Giveaway.
Awesome teaser! I haven’t read The Uglies yet, but it’s waiting for me on my bookshelf!
Thanks for checking out my teaser!
