On November 9, Anna from Anna Reads and I ventured into the suburbs of Chicago to attend Andrea Cremer’s book signing. Neither of us had ever been to an author signing before so we were both super excited and a little anxious. What do we do? How early do we get there? How many books can we bring to sign? Is it OK to ask for a picture? Turns out our little fears were all for nothing – it was a very laid back and fun event and we couldn’t have had a better time!
Andrea was super sweet right from the beginning and started off the signing explaining a little about how she decided to become an author. Having a full-time job and deciding to pursue another passion at the same time earns a big kudos in my book! Andrea teaches history at a college in Minnesota and you can definitely see her pulling this knowledge and incorporating it into Nightshade.
The signing happened the day after the cover of Wolfsbane was released so there were a lot of questions about the rest of the books in the series. Wolfsbane will be released July 2011 and the third book, Bloodrose, will be released in the spring of 2012. Andrea also revealed that she is writing a prequel to the series that delves into the historical aspect of the packs, and that will be released in the fall of 2012.
Because I bought a copy of Nightshade at the bookstore, I have a signed ARC to give away! Just fill out the short form below to enter.
*Note – the bottom right corner is slightly bent. It’s not a huge crease but wanted to point it out!
