TGIF is a Friday feature hosted by the fabulous Ginger at GReads! to recap the week on your blog and to answer a fun question.

This week’s question is:
Book Tears: Do you get emotional when you read? Which books had you in tears?

***
Oh yes, the tear jerkers… how I adore and loathe these books. I’m definitely not a big crier, but there have been quite a few books that have gotten me super choked up. Most recently – Where She Went. I’m pretty sure I mentioned this book in the last TGIF post, but it’s just THAT good. Another book that left me a hot mess was Delirium. That one really, really got to me – talk about a major days-long book hangover. And to counteract the sad tears, Chelsea, Chelsea Bang Bang had me crying from laughing so incredibly hard. I received quite a few stink-eyes on the train while reading that one.

  1. I love that you mentioned a book that gave you happy tears! No one has said that yet :-)

  2. So you’re saying after I read If I Stay and Where She Went I can pick up one of my Chelsea Handler books and be okay? That’s good to know since I’m pretty sure I’ve seen those books on EVERYONE’S lists today. :)

  3. I’m a super emotional reader. I’ll just be sitting on the couch, tears streaming down my face and then my husband looks over and is like “what is your problem” and I have to attempt to answer through my snot and my hiccups. Such a pretty picture I make! The last one that made me cry was Hard Bitten, book 4 in the Chicagoland Vampire series. So good! Delirium made me cry as well:)

  4. I haven’t read If I Stay and Where She Went yet… but i heard so many good things about these novels. Delirium also made me cry! Good for you that you have a book which made you laugh yourself to tears… i know i haven’t yet read something that will make me do that. ^_^

  5. My coworker LOVES Chelsea Handler and all her books. She’s currently reading Tina Fey’s novel which also has her in tears! =)
