Return to Me

From Goodreads:
Three months before Rebecca Muir is set to begin college, her father reveals a secret that tears the family apart: he is leaving them.

In an instant, Rebecca’s life crumbles—she has to rely on her mother now, when her whole life she’s been her father’s girl; she’s not sure she can trust her high school boyfriend; and her carefully planned-out life suddenly feels all wrong.

Reb’s journey takes her across the country and back, and is for anyone who has experienced uncertainty or betrayal. This book will inspire readers to overcome life’s challenges and come out triumphant on the other side.

This first thing that grabbed me while reading the summary of Return to Me was the fact that the MC is older and heading to college. I love reading about older MCs, especially when they are going through that time between high school and college and trying to figure out what the heck they want to do with their life. Throw in the family drama and talk about one hard-core dilemma. Return to Me sounds like a great story and I can’t wait to read about Rebecca’s journey.

  1. You’re so right – we really don’t see enough older characters. I’m game for more of this New Adult genre to pop up. I’m really excited for this book as well! Great pick, Tara!

  2. Yup, I’m a fan of “older” YA books, too. I added this one to my TBR list as well. And I just realized in that tiny print on the book’s cover that this is the same author who wrote North of Beautiful – another book I kept meaning to read.
